This rectangular butter dish is part of the 'Terres de rêves' collection from the Belgian ceramist Anita Le Grelle. It can be closed with a matching lid.
Because of the manual work the butter dish often has an irregular shape which makes that the lid gets some more space and doesn't fit perfectly on the dish.

Unique in its color and shape, each piece of ceramic is born from the precise and delicate hand of Anita Le Grelle. Elegantly thin materials and subtle shapes leave just enough space for the piece's own freedom... and dreams.
The collection is made of stoneware and finished with reactive glaze. It is baked twice, first at 700 °, then allowed to cool and then it is baked again at 1200 °. It is quite unique that this kind of stoneware, so thin and light, can still meet this quality.
This collection is a complete set of plates, bowls, cups, carafes, serving plates... You can order the butter dish here, you can find the other items at the bottom of this page under Related Products.
