Sergio Herman is one of the best and most discussed Dutch chefs. He studied in Belgium at the hotel school 'Ter Groene Poort' in Bruges. In 1990 he began his career at his father's side in the family restaurant Oud Sluis near the Belgian border.
It is here that he learns the tricks of the trade with the utmost respect for seasonal products. A few years later he takes over Oud Sluis and he works himself up into a true star chef. In 1995 he received his first Michelin star, in 1999 a second one and in 2005 he finally won a 3rd star.
His style: a surprising and innovative cuisine that never stands still. Sergio Herman creates magic in the plate and combines the most original spices and flavors into an amazing result. We could call his style "Haute couture".
Today he is the proud owner of the two most discussed restaurants of the low countries: The Jane (Antwerp/Belgium) and Pure c (Cadzand/Netherlands). And it should be said, Sergio Herman understood it all!
